Avidbots Neo is currently on its 8th generation of product design. Our early prototypes experimented with repurposing existing floor scrubbers. This R&D proved that adding autonomy to an existing machine was ineffective – a truly autonomous and productive cleaning robot would have to be designed from the ground up, with tightly-integrated features and components. Further prototypes explored the best form factors, cleaning heads, water systems, wheels, batteries, and other features. The end result of this research, experimentation and innovations is today’s Neo – the only purpose-built commercial cleaning robot.

Avidbots’ robotics experts form a world-class engineering team, training at leading technology institutions such as M.I.T. and the University of Waterloo. The team has a diverse background in fields focused on innovation and manufacturing excellence. Our Canadian headquarters features a 40,000 sq ft industrial manufacturing and R&D facility, where our 80+ employees are constantly exploring new and better ways to bring robots into everyday life!
