# AI presence (agent.json, llms.txt, MCP)

AI presence is the set of machine-readable endpoints that let AI agents read structured data about your company directly. View them at `/manage/<your-company>/ai-outputs`. This section is Pro. New to these formats? See [key concepts](/docs/key-concepts).

## At a glance

## The endpoints

Welcome.AI publishes three standardized endpoints per company, built from your profile, solutions, and [knowledge Q&A](/docs/company-knowledge):

These are generated from the data you maintain — the richer your knowledge sections, the more complete the endpoints. If they show no data, generate your [knowledge](/docs/company-knowledge) first.

## Viewing and copying them

In the AI Presence section you can:

1. See the live agent.json and llms.txt rendered inline.
2. Use Copy to put the full content on your clipboard.
3. Use Open to view the live endpoint in a new tab.
4. Copy the MCP endpoint URL to wire up AI tools.

## Free vs Pro

On free plans, these endpoints are still served publicly — AI systems can already read them — but the dashboard shows only a blurred preview. Pro unlocks the live view so you can see exactly what AI systems see and control the narrative. Upgrade in [billing & plans](/docs/billing-and-plans).

## Why it matters

When an AI assistant answers a question about your company, it grounds on whatever it can find and cite. These endpoints give it an authoritative, structured source instead of leaving it to guess. ## FAQ

**What are agent.json, llms.txt, and the MCP server?**

agent.json is a structured JSON description of your company for AI agents, llms.txt is a plain-text summary for LLMs, and the MCP server is a Model Context Protocol endpoint AI tools can query. All three are generated from your profile, solutions, and knowledge.

**Are my endpoints available if I'm on the free plan?**

Yes. The endpoints are served publicly on every plan, so AI systems can already read them. What's gated is the in-dashboard view — free shows a blurred preview, and Pro unlocks the live rendering so you can see exactly what AI systems see.

**My endpoints show no data — why?**

They're built from the data you maintain. If they're empty, generate your [knowledge](/docs/company-knowledge) first, then add profile detail and solutions to fill them out.

**How do I connect an AI tool to my MCP endpoint?**

Copy the MCP endpoint URL (`https://welcome.ai/api/mcp/company/<slug>`) from the AI Presence section and use it to wire up your AI tool.

**How do I keep my AI presence accurate?**

Keep your [profile](/docs/company-profile), [solutions](/docs/solutions), and [knowledge](/docs/company-knowledge) current. The endpoints regenerate from that data, so updates flow through automatically.
