Snowflake

Snowflake is a cloud-based data platform company. Its flagship product, commonly called the Data Cloud, is a fully managed service that unifies data warehousing, data lakes, data engineering, data sharing, and analytics in a single system. Snowflake runs on top of public cloud infrastructure from Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, and its architecture separates compute from storage so customers can scale each independently and pay for usage. Enterprises use the platform for large-scale analytics, secure data sharing, and, more recently, building and running AI and machine-learning workloads on governed data. Founded in 2012 by Benoit Dageville, Thierry Cruanes, and Marcin Zukowski, Snowflake is a publicly traded company (NYSE: SNOW) headquartered in Menlo Park, California.
