Suno

Suno is a generative artificial intelligence platform for music creation, developed by Suno, Inc. The service lets users generate complete songs, including vocals and instrumental backing, from short text prompts that describe a style, mood, or lyrics. It was founded by four former employees of the AI firm Kensho, Mikey Shulman, Georg Kucsko, Martin Camacho, and Keenan Freyberg, and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with additional offices in New York and Los Angeles. Suno became widely available in December 2023, initially through a web application and an integration with Microsoft Copilot, and later added mobile apps and successive model versions. It serves hobbyists, content creators, and musicians who want to produce music without traditional recording tools or instruments. The company has faced copyright litigation from the recording industry and, in 2025, reached a licensing settlement with Warner Music Group. By 2026 Suno reported several million paid subscribers.
